Captaincy

[edit]

Contrary to what MrShamrock states: NHL Rule 14D states that “[n]o playing Coach or playing Manager or goalkeeper shall be permitted to act as Captain or Alternate Captain." I have reverted his revision. -Nathan.

Post playing career

[edit]

There's nothing in the article about his work after he retired from playing. Didn't he work for the Florida Panthers management? Might even still be doing that? Jozsefs (talk) 10:23, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Charliehdb (talk) 13:51, 25 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Luongo and Spaghetti

[edit]

Eating spaghetti out of the cup is certainly as noteworthy as any of the other facts about his life post-playing. Roberto Luongo eats spaghetti out of the Stanley cup (youtube.com) 71.218.186.237 (talk) 03:45, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done In lieu of a fancy, policy- or guideline-based reply, I'll just say "Who cares?" Encyclopedia articles are not collections of trivia. And youtube.com is almost always an unusable source to boot. Stefen Towers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 03:56, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Correction needed

[edit]

Second paragraph under the Vancouver Canucks part.

"During the 2007 NHL All-Star Game in Dallas, Luongo was named the Skills Competition's top goaltender and helped the West to a 12–9 win over the East. Late in the season, Luongo recorded his franchise record-setting 39th win in a 2–1 overtime victory on March 9 against the San Jose Sharks. He surpassed Kirk McLean's 38-win mark set in 1991–92. He went on to finish with a career-high 47 wins, one shy of league-leader Martin Brodeur, who broke Bernie Parent's 33-year-old NHL record of wins in a season. Luongo and Brodeur are considered, however, to have been given an advantage to Parent with the inauguration of the shootout that season by the NHL, allowing more games to be decided with wins, as opposed to ties."

The shootout came the year before, in 2005-2006. HockeyGoose (talk) 00:44, 28 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
